Food magicians get ready to embark on their biggest ever challenge with the world’s first vegetarian MasterChef
Mumbai, 9th January 2015: MasterChef India, which has been the India’s biggest platform for amateur cooks and food magicians, by fulfilling their food dreams and transforming their lives, is now back with its fourth season.
The new season promises to glamourize food with spectacular visual styling and presentation, leaving audiences hungry for more. In a unique, first of its kind innovation, this season will feature only vegetarian food. On one hand, this promises to make things way more challenging for the participants, while on the other hand it will make the show more inclusive for vegetarian audiences.
Coming back as a judge this season will be the Chef extraordinaire, who will continue to raise the food bar for contestants. Joining Sanjeev will be the Michelin Starred Indian chef, Vikas Khanna who will also be playing the role of a mentor to the participants. This season will mark the entry of Chef Ranveer Brar as a judge on the show. Chef Ranveer began his cooking journey from the streets of Old Lucknow and went on to become the youngest executive chef of a five star hotel at the age of 25.
Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, speaking about the refreshed format this season said, “India has always had a rich heritage of vegetarian food. With an all veg season, we have tried to give an opportunity to vegetarian cooks, who previously could not participate in MasterChef India. I am looking forward to this season with a lot of scrumptious food and fun”
Chef Vikas Khanna added, “People might think that great cooking is only about taste, but presentation and styling are also equally important. While we have always mentored our contestants to keep this in mind, this season is going to be far more challenging as we will push the contestants to up their game on making food look WOW!
Chef Ranveer Brar said, “I have travelled across the country in search of food that has a story to tell. With this season of Masterchef India, I am sure I will be able to witness many exciting food stories. I am also delighted that I will be joining Chef Sanjeev Kapoor and Chef Vikas Khanna on this immensely popular and revolutionary food show.”
